A couple of explanations that I have gathered from people that I really like about the MyIntent Project.
Banathi: My word would be ‘Voice’. Voice is another word for speaker, to be able to speak for those who are too scared to speak or those who are silenced. I say this because of the corruption that happens in the world, media and news is filled with ideology we will only get information that those in power want us to know, nothing else. The reason I chose voice is to be the voice of the voiceless for those people in vulnerable parts of the world that are dull and silenced by those in power. The voice means to shine a light on darkness that we are forced to ignore.
Tolu: My word is ‘Thought’ because every manifestation on this earth begins with a thought, we become what we think as said in the bible. I want to encourage people to think about anything that they desire on a regular basis and have faith by living their lives as if they already have that, that they desire. Our subconscious mind will then bring this into our physical reality.
Ayo: The word I have chosen is ‘Impact’. I chose the word impact because I believe everyone who comes into our lives is there for a purpose e.g a friend for the rest of your life or maybe someone you just make acquaintance with for a day. So to achieve personal satisfaction in my life, I want to have a positive impact on every life I come across in my own personal path, maybe by doing the littlest thing e.g a kind gesture or if I’m capable I can do bigger things for people, which I hope to be doing on a regular basis when I’m more established in life.
Ralph The Explorer: We live in a universe that is far bigger than we can imagine. My chosen word is ‘Explore’. There are countless planets out there, most of them we had no idea even existed. This universe was created for one purpose which is to inhabit different forms of life. As a human being, I was born on this planet, therefore it is my planet. I believe that there is far more to this planet than one can imagine and that I have every right to explore and see all things that’s in this world with my own eyes.
Mako: My word is ‘Action’, you can say you want to change the world, you can say you want to help people but it’s all just words without action. So l want to back it all up with action, I want to go from the stage where instead of thinking, I just do. It may sound a bad thing waiting to happen, however l feel that when you faced with two possible things, when you over think it you most likely end up with the wrong decision.
Kevin: My word is ‘Destiny’, I chose this because I believe in my life and my path. I live life as best as I can, I do all that I can and want and I hope things fall into place as it was written for me and as God said. Whatever happens happens, what God says is right for me will be right for me.
Lizzie: My word is ‘God’ because without him I am nothing, it reminds me of who I am, where I’m going, where I want to be, who I want to be and who I live for. I yawn for him, he’s the only thing I need and he’s the only one that came to my mind.
T: My word is ‘Change’. Change is about growth & realisation. To know the past isn’t all you are but the present isn’t all you can be. It’s the small brushes that paint the bigger picture, this is why I chose change. As humans we sometimes reject it or even fear it, because it usually means we have to step out of our comfort zones. So I want to challenge myself and the world to take that leap of faith. To make a change, to be the change they wish to see. All our actions have opposite and equal reactions, I strive to make all my actions have a positive and influential reaction. I aspire to inspire. So the ability to adapt and change is important.
Debbie: My word is ‘Peace’, peace is something a lot of people need, pretend to have & wish to dwell in. With peace & love the world will become a more happy place.
Shannah: My word is ‘Timing’. I chose this word because I often talk about my future and how much time I have to achieve things, but recently I realised that I can’t live my life waiting for the next year to come just to see what happens then. Nobody ever knows the last time they will see somebody they love, the last time they will sing, or dance, or eat..and I feel that we, as beings, living with an ever ticking countdown to the end, should take every opportunity to become the best version of ourselves, and don’t just say ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’ because tomorrow is never promised. Timing is everything for me.
Mxglerr: My word would be ‘Thrive’ because I always keep it in mind that I must somehow succeed in all I try.
Maryam: My word is ‘Content’. I think if everyone was content with what they have and given, this world or planet won’t be in chaos, there would be peace.
Nabil: I have chosen the word ‘Blessings’. Blessings is about appreciation and where life has taken you thus far, about realising your potential and when your are down; counting your blessings.
Abal: My word is ‘Focus’. Focus in all aspects of life; from my studies to the people I care about in life. Focus on good real genuine energies, a type of focus that there can be no denying me of what I’m destined to be.
Destiny Prince: My word is ‘Focused’, I want to concentrate on my career, how to make money and how to use all situations that I find myself in to be productive in an economic way.
Patrick: My chosen word is ‘Educate’. I have chosen educate because it would solve all of the issues in the world. Discrimination, hunger, gap between rich and the poor, governments deception, wars, everything to be honest.
Shannen: My word is ‘Growth’, to be honest we never know what’s round the corner. We came in the world thinking nothing could ever go wrong, as we grew older reality kicked in. We have our hearts broken, we even lose the one we loved the most, thinking how can we get over them? Or even get over the situation, but your mind becomes stronger, and your heart becomes unbreakable…We start to realise to take everyday as it comes and sometimes you don’t realise how strong you really are until you’ve gotten through the worst. I want people to know that they will always be growing and the present doesn’t determine their future.
Daniel: My word would be ‘Believe/Faith’ because having faith & believing in someone/something can encourage them.
Gilson: I have decided to go wth two words. ‘Altruism’ & ‘Resilience’. Altruism because I love the act of kindness; the woman of my dreams overflows with it and resilience because no matter what we go through we must bounce back in order to enjoy life more and you learn a lot about yourself afterwards.
Sara: My word would be ‘Realise’. I’m planning to join the police, so guess I want people to realise. Making people realise not all is as it seems. Realise everyone is human, mistakes, people make them.
